We have recreated numerous examples of museum-quality functional bows. These have included Eastern Woodlands styles, Lakota “pony bows”, Navajo, and Ancestral Pueblo. We utilize seasoned ash, hickory or Osage orange wood for the bows construction. All staves are fresh cut by Redhawk.
The finished bows are backed with deer sinew, secured with hide glue for added strength and safety. Strings are fabricated from artificial sinew (waxed nylon) for durability. Cultural affiliation, size, draw weights and fabrication materials are indicated with each example.
